Uruguay Secures Favourable Outcome in US$3.536 Billion Aratirí Dispute

On 29 October, Uruguay confirmed that the Paris Court of Appeal had upheld the favourable arbitration outcome in the Aratirí mining dispute, rejecting the investors' US$3.536 billion compensation claim. The decision also enables the government to pursue approximately US$4.5 million in legal costs and an additional €300,000 in court costs.
