Kazakhstan Proposes English Common-Law Investment Court for Alatau City

On 28 October, President Tokayev announced plans to establish an investment court in Alatau based on English common-law principles to handle commercial disputes and strengthen investor protection. The government has been instructed to prepare amendments to the city's special legal regime by the end of January 2027; no separate establishment budget or court fee has been announced.
